Sautéed Cod with Compound Butter
Ingredients:
- 4 cod fillets
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground pepper
- Few lemon slices
- Compound butter (garlic or shallot is best)
Directions:
Stir together seasoning in a small bowl. Season all sides of the cod with the seasoning mixture.
Heat 1 Tbsp butter and 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cod to skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes per side or until light brown crust forms.
Turn heat off and top with 1 tsp compound butter per cod fillet. Let sit for 1-2 minutes until butter melts. Drizzle cod with fresh lemon juice. Top with fresh herbs, if desired. Serve immediately.
